WHICH NEW MOVIE release is worth the price of a cinema ticket this weekend?
We’re here to help you decide just that, with these trailers.
Mud
(movieclipsTRAILERS)
For fans of: Matthew McConaughey’s brain, southern drawls, mud
Avoid if: You prefer not-so-mysterious characters
Thought Matthew McConaughey was just a pretty boy with a good six pack and a sexy drawl? Stop that thinking immediately, OK? He has been popping up in all manner of interesting films, as characters a million miles from what he is stereotyped as. Here, he plays a mysterious man with a dark past who lives in seclusion until he is discovered by two young naive boys. What ensues looks like it will be both disturbing and gripping.

Deadfall
(joblomovienetwork/YouTube)
For fans of: Being on the run
Avoid if: You prefer summer
Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde join forces to play a brother and sister on the run from a casino heist that went arseways. This seems like the kind of film that promises much and delivers little.

Star Trek Into Darkness
(movieclipsTRAILERS/YouTube)
For fans of: Benedict Cumberbatch, good eyebrows
Avoid if: The force is with you
Good ol’ JJ Abrams is back with another blockbuster that brings us another adventure for the re-booted Star Trek crew, led by a young Captain Kirk (Chris Pine). As expected, this is full-on action from the get-go, with Benedict Cumberbatch on hand as the evil baddie with a remarkably deep voice (autotune, anyone?). Check out our review here – does it match up to the 2009 film?
