War of the Buttons and other classics are being screened outdoors around Ireland this summer
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
LAST NIGHT, THE Happenings event organisation screened ET outdoors in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle.
They’re well known for putting together some quality open air showings of classic films in parks around Dublin, but last night was the start of a small nationwide series.
And it’s pure nostalgia.
Tonight they’re following ET up with Stand By Me in Fitzgerald’s Park in Cork

Stone. Cold. Classic.
And then tomorrow night they’re showing Jurassic Park in Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin

In The Name Of The Father will be shown in the open air glory of Dublin’s Merrion Square on August 12th

“Giuseppe!”
Then it’s back to Kilkenny Castle on August 25th for War of the Buttons

The picture of the event shows the recent French remake but the event description says it’s showing “the Irish classic” – so we can take that as being Geronimo, Fergus and the lads.
On August 27th, they’re showing Michael Collins outside in Emmet Square, Clonakilty

And more besides.
Let’s hope the weather holds <3
