CNN sent the most savage push notification about Trump's first six months in office

“In 6 months, Pres. Trump has tweeted 991 times, spent 40 days at Trump golf properties and passed 0 pieces of major legislation.”

TODAY IS THE six-month anniversary of Donald Trump’s inauguration, and the Presidency has been lurching from one disaster to another throughout.

Trump "Nooooooooo" Andrew Harnik Andrew Harnik

But how do you sum up the incompetency and scandal of the Trump presidency so far in a concise fashion?

CNN had a go at it today with this push notification

Ah CNN, Trump’s great Twitter nemesis.

The alert contained some stark stats:

In 6 months, Pres. Trump has tweeted 991 times, spent 40 days at Trump golf properties and passed 0 pieces of major legislation.

That’s only a bit of the story, but it’s damning nonetheless.

People saw it popping up on their phone this morning

And realised that CNN hadn’t held back or fudged the wording

The constant tweeting and lack of legislation is well known, of course, but the exact number of times he’s been golfing was particularly surprising – especially given that Trump used to complain *all the time* about Obama playing golf while President

At least 27 times, no less.

The CNN analysis itself provides a thorough critique of his first six months in office:

Trump is laying down the tracks as the train is speeding down them. The strategy is survival and, in the broadest sense, “winning.” But the idea that Trump has some sort of long-game strategy on where the track is heading and how to get there is disproved with each passing day.

But for a pithy push notification, they couldn’t have done much better than this

“Savage” being the prevailing description so far

AF.
