WHILE THE TEMPERATURE has made a welcomed rise in recent days, we’re well aware that that could all turn to shite any day now. And while I might have a wardrobe full of clothes, I really don’t have the equipment I need for when the temperatures eventually plummet.
Yes, despite having lived here my entire life, I am still totally unprepared for Irish winters.
So naturally this week, I turned to the online retail Gods for some help.
Determined to make quality buys, I looked outside of my usual online haunts and think I’ve found some decent pieces that are sure to keep me warm (and more importantly dry) over the next month or two.
Look, I’m not going to lie to you, some of these are definitely investment pieces so be prepared to part with some cash.
But if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that bargain buys can not withstand rough Irish winters.
Most of the items included are waterproof, windproof or thermal which sounds great just about now.
So, with that in mind, here are some pieces that you’ll be pulling out year after year.
1. The coat
2. The boots
3. The base layer
4. The hat
5. The knit
