Coldplay introduced a Christy Moore classic to their Boston crowd

COLDPLAY PLAYED IN Boston’s Gilette Stadium over the weekend, and they pulled out one of their finest covers.

Playing tribute to the massive Irish community in the city, as well as wishing Will Champion a happy birthday, Chris Martin and the band teased a cover.

It’s gonna tie into Boston it’s gonna tie into the amazing Irish heritage that runs through this beautiful area. It’s gonna tie into the fact that tomorrow is a very special day for us, because our beautiful drummer Will Champion is having a birthday.

Of course, it was Christy Moore’s Ride On

He called it one of the “most beautiful songs”, that will “get you through life”.
