IT WAS A legitimately A-list couch on Graham Norton last night with Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, Bryan Cranston, Jane Fonda, Matt Lucas and Niall Horan all in the house.
There was a lot of chat about Kidman and Farrell’s new film The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and Cranston was in typically fine form.
But the moment of the night didn’t happen until Jane Fonda arrived out about halfway through the show
Graham brought up her recent Netflix film with Robert Redford called Our Souls At Night
BBC BBC
“You have to be careful how you say it”
BBC BBC
Fonda looked a bit bemused why the audience was laughing
BBC BBC
Colin had to say it again and explain that “our souls” in Ireland sounds like something completely different
BBC BBC
“Arseholes” had been said the most times in the history of The Graham Norton Show at this point.
“I’m not sure they audience tested that title”
BBC BBC
Which just led to Colin on the couch pronouncing “our” very dramtically so there would be no confusion
BBC BBC
She now knows forever the double meaning.
“Oh my god”
BBC BBC
Colin’s last word on the matter:
This side of the Atlantic, that name is always going to spark some immature giggles
Moment of the show? Moment of the year more like
Our Souls At Night is currently available on Netflix.
