LOVE HIM OR loathe him, everyone has an opinion on Conor McGregor, and comedian, Colin Murphy, is no exception.
While speaking to The Independent, the entertainer admitted that he has no time for the level of bravado regularly displayed by the Crumlin-native.
Colin, who was a regular panelist on The Panel alongside comedians Ed Byrne, Neil Delamere and Andrew Maxwell, didn’t hold back when it came to Conor, the UFC and MMA.
I f***ing hate him!I hate that whole thing anyway, UFC or MMA – macho b******s.
So, what’s the beef there, Colin?
Well, it seems he is especially put out by what some might consider Conor’s exceptionally high level of, you know, self-belief.
I hate that arrogance that he has; it’s the most un-Irish trait there is. For a man that relies on his Irishness to sell himself around the world, it just makes me f***ing angry.
In fact, it makes Colin so angry that he dedicated a significant amount of time to discussing it during a recent gig only to learn that Conor’s coach, John Kavanagh, was in the audience.
And this was after he engaged him in conversation about the world-famous Dubliner.
I was doing a gig in Kilkenny and was going on about McGregor at length. I started speaking to a guy in the audience because he owned a gym, and it turned out that he was Conor McGregor’s coach.
Oh, perfect.
And by the sound of things, Colin was the last one to know that Kavanagh was there, soaking up every last word.
Of course, everyone else in the room knew who he was, and I was going, ‘Why the f**k did no one tell me?
