This feminist conference was ridiculed for asking people not to clap

Their alternative? Jazz hands, obviously.

THE NATIONAL UNION of Students in the UK is holding its women’s conference this week.

It looks to tackle all the legitimate issues that face female students across the UK. But only one motion is capturing the imagination.

This reasonable request

Some delegates are requesting that we move to jazz hands rather than clapping, as it's triggering anxiety. Please be mindful! #nuswomen15
