EACH WEEK, WE’LL be taking a peek into some of our faves’ makeup bags to see their must-have products, because we’re nosey. This week, it’s the turn of freelance makeup artist Conor Herron. You can follow his Instagram here.
His earliest makeup memories
“The earliest memory that I have of makeup is of my mother doing her makeup every morning. She refused to leave the house without her face done. She would always use a thick, compact foundation but I have since introduced her to liquid foundation (which is now her holy grail!)
She always wore bright pink lipstick which she still wears to this day. Seeing the confidence that makeup gave my mother was something I never truly understood until I started my own journey with makeup.”
His makeup bag and what’s inside down
“I probably need a new one, LOL.
“Urban Decay All Nighter is my absolute favourite and go-to for a full coverage foundation that LASTS. No matter what I’m doing throughout the day. I know my foundation wont budge, (especially if your like me, who forgets they have makeup on and lean on their face …)
“I love to glow like no other! So for this, I will always use Jaclyn Hill x Becca ‘Champagne Pop’ I never leave the house without this, as I know I need more highlight throughout the day – no such thing as ‘too much highlight’!
“I use Inglot AMC gel liner for my eyebrows as I love a structured defined brow, so when I use this I know my brows wont move out of place!
“Maybelline Big Shot mascara is my other go to! It makes my lashes look more full and makes me look more awake – such a good drugstore product!
“I stick to matte lipsticks for everyday so I don’t have to worry about transfer on my cups or food. Nude lipsticks are what I tend to gravitate towards. My all time favourite is Jeffree Star’s ‘Celebrity Skin’ - once on, there’s no need for top ups!
