This girl got a Coppers tattoo so she could get a Gold Card, but she's too young and life isn't fair

Justice for Kelsey!

THERE’S COMMITMENT TO the cause, and then there’s Coppers-style commitment to the cause.

And Kelsey Delaney, we’re looking at you.

In a move many of us may have considered when we’re approximately 12 gins deep, 20-year-old Kelsey from Blanchardstown decided she was going to get her hands on a coveted Coppers Gold Card by getting a CFJ inking.

A stroke of bloody genius, if you ask us.

Speaking to DailyEdge.ie. Kelsey explained that she got the ball rolling during a classic post-Coppers hangover fog.

We were wondering how you got a Gold Card so I said I’d text and ask them if I got a tattoo, would I get a Gold Card. They said they wouldn’t encourage it, but if I went and did it anyway, they’d give me one.

So, off Kelsey went the following day, and had the CFJ stamp tattooed on her foot for the princely sum of €40.

“But, sure a tenner in each time and you’d have your money made back in a month,” she laughed.

Tattoo completed, Kelsey got back on to the club and updated them on developments.

I text them to tell them and they said ‘a deal’s a deal’. And then they asked my age. I told them I would be 21 in a few weeks. And that’s when they said they’d give me the Gold Card when I’m actually 21.

We know; the injustice of it all.

And the worst part? Kelsey isn’t even a tattoo fan.

It’s my first and only one. I don’t even like tattoos. It’s on my foot so it’s not too bad, but I won’t be getting another one.

Kelsey turns 21 on April 23, so the elusive card is definitely in sight, but we’re thinking that this is definitely a case of extenuating circumstances….

Justice for Kelsey!
