This emigrant's reunion with her family in Cork Airport is absolutely lovely

One of the worst things about emigration is families not being together for the big moments — weddings, childbirth and the like. Skype is great and all, but nothing beats ua

Over the weekend, Cork’s 96FM reunited one Irish family and it was lovely.

Roisin Griffin was flown home from Australia with her partner and baby daughter in tow after her sister Ashling entered a competition on the radio station. The purpose of the trip home? For Roisin’s Dad to meet his granddaughter for the first time.

The result? One of the most touching videos you’ll see this weekend.

The video was shared over the weekend and has been viewed over 41,000 times and struck a chord with Irish people at home and abroad.
