This couple ended up getting married after they were tagged in an old school photo on Facebook
THIS IS ED and Christy Hemmes. They’re a happily married couple in the US now, but the story of how they got together has gone super viral this week.
As People Magazine discovered, their eventual romance was all thanks to an old school photo being fired up on Facebook by a mutual friend who tagged both of them.
They were in the same primary school class back in 1987
And when they were trying to name the other people on it when it was posted in 2009, Ed let slip that he had a little crush on her back in the day
Thinking she wasn’t on the thread, Ed said “Christy Young (loved her)”.
Then, slightly embarrassed by the public declaration of a crush, Ed was quick to apologise:
She didn’t really seem to mind, as she responded:
And from there, they started messaging, dating and eventually married in 2013. And then their little daughter was born soon after.
And all thanks to an old Facebook photo tag.
