IT ALL STARTED last year when the Michael Tea Higgins tea cosy gained national fame when it was spotted on the table of Gogglebox Ireland’s Castleknock pals Angela and Eileen.

Since then, a Dublin craft shop made an “army” of Michael Tea Higgins to keep up with demand, as it was clear the Irish public were fans of their President in cosy-form.
Now Cork-based craft shop JK Pure Crafty have taken things to its logical conclusion: a wider variety of well-known Irish figures as tea cosies, all available on their Etsy page.
