The owner has had enough.

A PUB IN the UK called The Craic House is changing its name – due to constant jokes about “crack” beginning to annoy the owners.

The new name will be the considerably more innocuous Woodman Corner.

Co-owner Steven Flood said he had grown tired of the constant jokes and puns around “craic” and “crack” to mean crack cocaine.

“We had a lot of stick,” he says. “Jokers used to link the word Craic to drugs. It wasn’t the impression we were trying to give.”

It will be nice to answer the phone and say Woodman Corner instead of the Craic House because that sounded like a drug den.

The name change is part of a £10,000 revamp according to the Birmingham Mail.

Woodman Corner describes itself as a “friendly town centre bar for all, perfect for West Brom supporters”.

Whether or not it’ll be any craic there after the name change remains to be seen…
