ANOTHER SET OF opinionated folk from Irish life took to the Brendan O’Connor’s roundtable on Cutting Edge, in an effort to solve the world’s problems.
Aslan frontman Christie Dignam, columnist Brendan Power and former Fianna Fáil politician Mary O’Rourke featured on the second episode of the new series to discuss their greatest fears, decriminalising drugs, modern manners and much more.
Christy Dignam was the undisputed star of the show, mainly for his facial expression when Brenda tried to say there’s no such thing as class in Ireland.
But people were also seriously impressed by Mary O’Rourke’s words on her late husband Enda.
Mary said:
We sparked one another. He was great for me [...] He was just a good guy.”
When host Brendan asked if she ever saw herself settling down with someone else following his death, her answer was simple.
I didn’t want to.”
She is open to the idea of some good ol’ fashioned male companionship for a lecture or a concert in the future though.
I love guys [...] But I never again met a guy that I was physically attracted to, or that I’d say, ‘God, I’d love to hope into bed with him!’
I loved Enda [...] I was very lucky. I can never think of a man that way again. It was wonderful. I had a very happy, married life.
That’s the true meaning of #RelationshipGoals.
