Tired dad sells buggy that 'ended my carefree life' on eBay, it goes viral with bids of £150,000

“My life is over and this green albatross needs to go round some other poor sod’s neck.”

AN ANGRY DAD of young children is selling the buggy that ‘ended his life’ on eBay.

The unnamed father posted the ad for a green buggy – along with an extensive rant about the difficulties of young children – on the auction site in the last few days.

He writes:

I shall be glad to see it leave my premises and never return [...] This buggy signifies everything that ended my happy carefree low cost child free life [...] The extortionate price of this buggy will stay imprinted on my brain till the day I die. I have bought cars that cost less than this buggy.

And adds:

To summarize my life is over and this green albatross needs to go round some other poor sods neck.

The long description, which we’re hoping was written with an element of irony, has gone viral. And the humble pushchair is now attracting bids of more than £150,000 with seven days of the auction still to run.

Surprising, really, given his honest and frankly resentful depiction of the buggy’s condition:

During its lifetime its had pretty much every bodily fluid known to science, (and several that have yet to be discovered) chucked over it by my children, Its also absorbed its own weight in Ellas Kitchen meals, and mud [...] There are many adverts on here for immaculate models and these people are all liars and scoundrels as nothing that comes into contact with a young child is ever immaculate.

The advertiser has also been inundated with questions, to which he has been responding in his own inimitable style:

It’s hard being a dad.
