11 perfect reactions to *that* sexist Daily Mail headline
WELL, THE DAILY Mail has truly outdone itself this morning.
The newspaper, which is known for writing breathlessly about female celebrities’ enviable pins every day of the bloody week, featured Theresa May and Nicola Sturgeon on the front page following their meeting yesterday.
The headline?
Because the Daily Mail are fundamentally incapable of publishing a photo of a woman without commenting on her legs, you see.
Needless to say, people are none too pleased with the headline.
After all, it’s fairly grim that you can be the Prime Minister and First Minister of Scotland, and still not be immune to sexist drivel like this.
Remember when they commented on the lads’ lovely legs?
Us neither.
It’s a sad day when newspaper take editorial cues from Father Ted, tbh.
Suppose you have to feel for whoever wrote the headline because they’re clearly trying and failing to assimilate in the modern world…
Did a single woman cast her eye over this?
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
No, but really.
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
It’s also worth noting that it’s not even an especially good pun.
If you’re going to be sexist dinosaurs, at least try harder.
Jesus wept.
Reminder to Daily Mail: it’s 2017. Catch up, yeah?
