For the last five years, Danny Dyer has been playing the role of Mick Carter in Eastenders.

It turned out that his daughter Dani was keen to join him on the show before she applied for Love Island, but told the Daily Star on Sunday that she was rejected when she tried out for a part on the show.

She told the Daily Star that she wanted to get into acting, rather than reality TV, but explained that Eastenders isn’t on the horizon for her.

I don’t know about Eastenders. They wouldn’t let me on it. I think it’s because my dad is already on it [and] there would be massive outrage.

Well, so far it looks like it all worked out for the best. She won Love Island, after all. Since the show wrapped up, she has been living in a flat with her boyfriend Jack in London’s Canary Wharf. (Metro)

What a weekend it has been for Azealia Banks. 

On Friday evening, TMZ released a clip of the rapper on Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out, a comedy improv series in which hip hop artists take digs at each other for a bit of good fun.

Well, Azealia didn’t have much fun during her appearance. She labelled DC Young Fly “anti-black” for calling her ugly in a joke where he said that “Nick Cannon’s so petty, he couldn’t get Cardi B, so he got Azealia’s ugly ass.” Not a great joke, in fairness.

Azealia wasn’t amused by any of the jokes that followed, which prompted Nick Cannon to post an Instagram photo sharing his respect and admiration for Azealia Banks after the whole mess.

On top of all that, Azealia Banks kept her name in the headlines over the course of the weekend for posting a letter of apology to Elon Musk after spending weeks giving out about him on Instagram and sharing screenshots of her texts to Elon’s girlfriend Grimes.

Banks said that she feels “terrible about everything” and that she hopes to meet Elon in person and properly introduce herself to him.

We’re not even done with all of the Azealia Banks goss yet. As if that all wasn’t enough, she has also announced that she will give a $1,000 prize to whoever can write the best fan-fiction about her, Elon Musk and Grimes. She’s accepting submissions in the form of comic strips, screenplays, novels, stories, claymations and cartoons.

Kevin Smith shared an update on his health after his heart attack six months ago. 

The filmmaker and actor wrote on Twitter that he lost 51 pounds since the heart attack and took to Instagram to expand on his journey over the last six months.

When I went to my Doctor a week [after the heart attack], she told me “The best thing you can do for yourself now is to lose 50 pounds.” Half a year later, I can report that I followed Doctor’s orders: I started at 256lbs and I now weigh 205lbs. My hope now is that I can slowly lose another 10lbs.

I am ecstatic to have reached this chunky milestone.

In his extended Instagram post, Smith thanked the various people who helped him along the way and said that he became a vegan as he “never wanted to see the inside of a hospital again.”

This wasn’t a diet. These results came from a total lifestyle change of eating solely plant-based foods (which is tough because I hate vegetables).

Never underestimate the power of positive feedback: you folks telling me I looked better or healthier helped me stick with it. An encouraging word can really make a difference in someone’s life and your compliments kept me going. And just look where I went!
