The singer has a few small admirers in the form of tribute band The Wee Daniels, who you’ll see auditioning for Ireland’s Got Talent tomorrow night.
The Wee Daniels are Finn Dolan (9), Robert Johnston (13), Jack O’Sullivan (12), Rian Sheridan (9) and David Rubotham (9) from Cavan who will be playing tribute to the OG Wee Daniel on Saturday night’s show.

Ahead of their audition, Daniel sent them a lil’ video message wishing them the best of luck.
“Thanks a million for singing my songs,” he said in the video. “I wish yous all the best on your journey on Ireland’s Got Talent.
“I’ll be watching you with great interest,” he said, clearly nervous that the lads could dethrone him as Ireland’s premier song bird. Hmmm. Do we smell a collab?
You’ll have to tune in tomorrow to see how the lads get on with judges Louis Walsh, Michelle Visage, Denise Van Outen and Jason Byrne.
Ireland’s Got Talent airs Saturday 16 February at 7:30pm on Virgin Media One.
