This guy got stood up by his date, so he live-tweeted taking himself on a date alone

BLAINE GIBSON IS a young man who lives in Austin, Texas.

Describing himself on Twitter as a “full-time romantic”, he’s searching for love just like the rest of us.

So it looked like a bad sign when his date didn’t show up on Tuesday night.

The eternal question: when to text?

Followed by the moment of resignation.

At this point, most of us would just go home and feel sorry for ourselves. But not Blaine. Blaine is made of sterner stuff.

So he came up with a new plan: to go on the best date night of his life. Alone.

This was the first selfie of many.

First up, a trip to the frozen yoghurt shop.

Then the toy store to try on some animal heads. #dateessentials

And then. TO THE BAR.

No date is complete without some drunk photobooth pictures.

Whoooo! Ride on the mechanical bull? Sure.

And finally, when it’s getting late, a rickshaw ride aaaaallll the way home.

… followed by milk and cookies.

What. A. Night.

Frankly, Blaine’s attitude is an inspiration to us all.
