This David Bowie-themed election poster spotted in Galway is a work of genius
WITH THE NATION going to the polls tomorrow after a long campaign, it’s safe to say plenty of people will be glad to see the back of the election.
But one of the true highlights of it has surely been the high quality poster graffiti around the country.
And today in Galway, a Bowie fan saved the best for last with this effort
It’s not just the artwork, but the classic Let’s Dance reference makes this everything we’ll ever need in an election poster.
Derek Nolan, the TD in question, was pretty happy with the transformation – writing on his Facebook page:
“Ah now this is actually getting ridiculous…. Anyone know what genius is behind it? I think they deserve a pint!”
Facebook Facebook
YES.
When this is all done and dusted, buy this Galway Bowie fan a pint for their stellar work. Since Nolan posted the excellent Bowie vandalism to Facebook it’s amassed over 700 likes in just over five hours.
He spotted another poster of his today – possibly from the same artist:
“Nearly crashed the car this morning when I saw this! Credit to the artist – biggest laugh of the campaign so far!”

Fair play for taking it so well.
Sure it’s not every day you get to associate with the late, great David Bowie.
