Distressed Davina McCall dragged out of water after freezing Sport Relief swim
DAVINA MCCALL has assured well wishers that she’s “ok” after footage emerged of her being carried out of Lake Windermere this morning.
McCall is taking part in a seven day 500 mile triathalon challenge to raise money for Sport Relief. She’s planning to travel from Edinburgh to London by Friday; running, swimming and cycling.
Earlier today they Sport Relief Twitter account posted this message:
McCall herself had also tweeted that today’s swim would be her “nemesis” and she was pictured in tears before setting off earlier this morning:

The swim was livetweeted from the Sport Relief account, before this video was posted which shows crew members helping McCall out of the water and carrying her to a nearby hotel:
Soon after she completed the swim Sport Relief provided an update on MCall’s status, following fears that she was suffering from hypothermia.
She has since tweeted:
Celebrities like John Bishop and David Walliams have raised millions for Sport Relief in the past by taking on similar gruelling challenges.
