'Dead' man shocks family by coming back to life at funeral, crying

You’d cry too if your family were about to bury you alive.

A CHINESE MAN believed to be dead came back to life and shed a tear at his own funeral, in a scene from everyone’s worst nightmares.

Guo Liu (45) collapsed while out with his friends in the eastern Chinese province of Hubei – one friend said that Guo dropped a cigarette and went to pick it up off the ground, then keeled over, unconscious.

“At first he thought he was fooling around as he can be a bit of a joker,” he said. “But then we realised he wasn’t breathing, and phoned an ambulance.”

According to Metro.co.uk, doctors said he was suffering from severe cerebral haemorrhaging and that his chances of survival were less than 5%.

He died after three months in hospital and his family prepared for his burial – but then heard Guo wheezing and saw tears in his eyes.

He was immediately taken back to the hospital, where a spokesperson said they had “never seen anything like this before”:

He will now be kept under constant observation until he recovers fully and we will then be able to assess just how bad the brain damage is. It is likely that his speech, memories and mobility will be severely affected though.

Guo, you just had the closest of close shaves.
