AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR had an absolute stormer of an opening weekend.

In fact, it had the best opening weekend of any movie of all time, breaking both domestic and worldwide box offices.

And the fact it hasn’t even opened in China yet? Even more staggering.

And Ryan Reynolds wants in on the celebrations.

After paying tribute to Gal Gadot following Wonder Woman’s success last year, he followed in the tradition by reaching out to his fellow superheroes in the midst of their success.

Sharing an image of a letter which suggests Ryan’s character, Deadpool, had hoped to join The Avengers but was brutally rebuffed, Ryan insisted there was no hard feelings.

Fair play, Deadpool, fair play.

The letter in the image reads:

Re: Joining the Avengers.
No. Absolutely not.
Go bother Prof. X.
No.
Sincerely, Tony Stark.

Paying tribute to the cast of the film, Ryan offered his congratulations on their incredible opening success.

From a guy who never knows when to quit, I’m glad you guys never did. Congrats #Avengers.

And like most things Ryan posts to Instagram, his followers ate it up.

Definitely read this in Starks voice, inflections and everything. I could only imagine how hilarious Deadpool and Stark going back and forth would be.

I was just saying yesterday why on earth is deadpool not an avenger he’d be the best one!

Deadpool would just go flirt with Death and Thanos would go cry in a corner.
