Like real tough. But let’s be positive for a second, there’s some good sides to having a birthday in the depths of the holiday season.

1. People are primed to party

It could be worse, you could have a birthday in January when everyone is on the dry.

2. You can combine your presents

This is usually seen as being a bad thing. Two for one gifts for your birthday and Christmas don’t usually go down too well, but hey, what about all the times you could combine the two gifts to make up one big expensive gift? Advantage.

3. The sales are on after your birthday

If you’re a late December baby and get some cash for your present, you can get better value out of it come January. Bonus!

4. People are guaranteed to be home from abroad

Irish people love coming home at Christmas, so you’re bound to see some of your mates who left for the States and London come back to celebrate with you.

5. The holidays

If you were born around Christmas time you’ll more than likely have your Christmas holidays on the day itself. Just make sure you book that restaurant in advance, yeah?

6. The FOOD

There’s so much food around, and you’re all about eating and drinking on your birthday.
