THE LATE GREAT Dermot Morgan has been honoured with a plaque in this native Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin.
Yesterday evening, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council unveiled a plaque at McGuire’s Mount Merrion Stores (or Ed’s as locals like to call it) on Deerpark Road, Mount Merrion, paying tribute to the “actor, writer, iconoclast, satirist”.

Morgan, who tragically passed away in 1998, was born and raised in Mount Merrion and attended school in nearby Oatlands College.
The comic’s sons (and baby grandson) were present for the unveiling.
