US viewers are obsessed with Derry Girls, despite not understanding a word without subtitles
WHILE THE REST of us are eagerly anticipating the second season of Derry Girls, viewers in the United States are currently getting to grips with the first series of the Channel 4 series.
Shortly before Christmas, the highly-acclaimed show made its debut on US Netflix, and it’s going down an absolute storm across the Atlantic.
There is just one issue however; viewers in the States can’t make head nor tail of what anyone is saying.
Well, not without the help of subtitles, that is.
We mean, even those who feel a certain kinship with the Emerald Isle are struggling.
Then there are the folk who have had to admit defeat in recent weeks.
