TRAVEL WRITER DERVLA Murphy is eighty two.
As a pioneering touring journalist she’s been writing books about India, Tibet, South America, Madagascar, Africa and other far flung places across the world since the 1960s.
This weekend though, she’s given her thoughts on something a little closer to home:
Asked what she thinks of politicians in The Irish Times Weekend edition, she say:
A pile of f**king sh*ts is what I think of them. All parties.
Psst if you’re looking for a good read we highly recommend Murphy’s Muddling Through in Madagascar. It’s about a trip she took in the eighties with her then 14-year old daughter through relatively uncharted territory. Hero.
