Disney just released the trailer for the live-action remake of Dumbo starring Colin Farrell and Danny Devito

It actually looks pretty decent.

THERE’S ONLY ONE thing that’s worse than a remake of a classic movie, and that’s a remake of a classic children’s movie.

Nobody likes seeing the films we grew up on destroyed and re-marketed towards the children of today. Those kids have no taste. So, our instinctive reaction to a remake of a film as important as Dumbo is “no thx”.

Yet, Disney’s new teaser for the 2019 Tim Burton movie actually looks pretty promising. It’s like The Great Gatsby but with a cute elephant. This is definitely something that can be equally appreciated by adults and kids. And it also stars Colin Farrell and Danny Devito – two people we are never opposed to seeing.

And CGI Dumbo also looks really cute.

We’re going to hold out hope that Lana Del Rey is on the soundtrack for this. Seems right up her alley.
