A BRITISH COUPLE are putting an end to their marriage over bondage-themed bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey.
The wife – a banker in the City of London – claims her husband refused to play out scenes from the book. She said his attitude to sex was “unreasonable behaviour” and is filing for divorce.
The woman’s solicitor Amanda McAlister told the Daily Mail “The woman had been reading the book and wanted to spice up her love life.” The solicitor continued:
She said, “Let’s make things more interesting” [...] He went ballistic when he found out the name of the book she was reading and told her, “It’s all because you have been reading that bloody book.”
It’s thought to be the first time Fifty Shades of Grey has been cited in divorce proceedings. Here’s to many more.
