Dolores O'Riordan went down a storm with The Voice of Ireland viewers
THE VOICE OF Ireland returned to our TV screens last night and it’s safe to say that everybody was talking about new judge Dolores O’Riordan.
The Cranberries front woman was a hit with host Kathryn Thomas and her fellow judges long before those red chairs started spinning but nobody was really sure how the viewers at home would take to Sharon Corr’s replacement. The answer? Quite well.
After a relatively quiet start the Limerick woman got up and running, going head to head with Jamelia to get her hands on young Kellie Lewis.
And sure that was only the start of it. She put Bressie back in his box while battling for Caoin Fitzpatrick (nothing like throwing around a few album sales figures eh?) and even managed to take Kian ‘King of the Jungle’ Egan down a notch or two, much to the amusement of those on the Twitter machine.
Her rather direct approach with the contestants certainly went down well too.
As did her unique critique.
However, some viewers weren’t quite sure who she was…
Or why so many contestants were opting to join Team Dolores.
Sure even Bressie wants to be on Team Dolores.
We might just tune in again next week, to prove it wasn’t all in our heads.
