EVERYONE IS TRULY starting to appreciate how lovely Domhnall Gleeson is in the wake of his new movie Goodbye Christopher Robin.
Last night, he appeared on The Late Late Show and it wasn’t long until viewers discovered that Domhnall isn’t a huge fan of surprises. It became clear after Ryan Tubridy decided to surpise Domhnall by producing a VHS tape of his secondary school’s production of Grease.
Domhnall was not prepared for it at all.
Tubridy asked Domhnall what he was thinking when the tape was revealed and Domhnall, comfortably past the watershed replied, with a look of utter shock, “I’m thinking where the f**k did you get that?” After realising that he involuntarily dropped the F-word, he apologised nervously.

Ryan told him “The good news it… We don’t have a video player.” Domhnall knew he wasn’t getting off that easy though. Tubridy continued “But the bad news is… We can reformat it.”
Domhnall, knowing exactly what was on that tape, told the audience “My heart is going so fast. This is terrible.”
Poor Domhnall. How could the audience possibly allow Ryan to do this to him? Domhnall, being a good sport, let him go on with it. He was absolutely scarlet though.
While Domhnall was attempting to recover from this one, Ryan decided to quiz him about his favourite teacher ‘Ms. Keogh’.
Ryan then announced that Ms. Keogh was in the audience and was prepared for a reunion with Domhnall.
They hugged and she told him how proud she is.
Ryan invited her up to the couch to speak a little bit about Domhnall and she said that he was an absolute pet for the six years that she taught him and it’s not very often you get to be rewarded by seeing students make it as big as he has.
She even proudly remembered that when he did his leaving cert 16 years ago, he got an A1 in higher level music. Meanwhile, when regular people say hi to their old teachers in the shops, they aren’t even recognized. They definitely have a very special relationship.
Whoops!
