EARLIER THIS WEEK, Amanda Seyfried revealed that her husband felt somewhat uncomfortable with her on-set reunion with ex-boyfriend, Dominic Cooper.

Amanda, who starred opposite Dominic in Mamma Mia in 2008 and dated the actor for two years, said she understood where he was coming from.

I think he has the same kind of issues that I would have if we were hanging out with his ex-girlfriend from long ago… It’s sweet. I’d rather he be jealous than completely fine with it.

Indeed, it seems Dominic also knows where Thomas is coming from.

Speaking to Attitude magazine, the British actor acknowledged that the Mamma Mia prequel was more than just a professional undertaking, given his personal history with Amanda.

You just have to be delicate with those situations. We knew we were going to be working together [again] on a set, going back to a part which was certainly going to remind us of 10 years earlier.

However, Dominic maintained that the strength of their friendship and the separate direction their lives have taken would override any potential awkwardness.

She’s a friend. It was always going to be OK. She’s married now and has a beautiful child.

Like Amanda, Dominic, whose eight-year relationship with Irish actress Ruth Negga came to an end this year, thoroughly enjoyed working alongside his former partner again.

It was a pleasant atmosphere. It was really interesting to see how different our lives are after 10 years. It is a long time and it was nice to spend time [with her].
