THE ABOVE TWEET was sent out last night on the main Domino’s Twitter account in the US – which intrigued everyone.
It was the last in a number of pizza-themed emoji tweets that led to the announcement that Domino’s in the US will allow frequent customers to order pizza through Twitter, using just emojis.
Domino’s revealed the ‘tweet-a-pizza’ ordering system to USA Today last night – and it will be rolled out in the States in just one week’s time.
Basically, once they have registered their Twitter handle, regular customers who have an ‘Easy Order’ saved in the system can tweet just the pizza emoji to Domino’s and all will be taken care of. Domino’s will then send a DM back to the customer to confirm and the order is complete.
The CEO even told the paper:
It’s the epitome of convenience, we’ve got this down to a five-second exchange.
This could change everything, for so many pizza lovers.
Speaking to DailyEdge.ie a Domino’s Ireland spokesperson was coy about when we will see this come to Ireland:
