HAVE YOU EVER found money on the ground and kept it for yourself? Of course you have. Well, how about €1000?
According to ABC7 News, Mike Vegas of Berkeley, California ordered a pizza and chicken wings from Dominos earlier this week.
When his order arrived, he ate a few slices of pizza, put the rest of the food in the fridge, then went to work.
“My phone started blowing up and I wasn’t looking at the random messages, I was at work so I wasn’t answering,” he told ABC7.
About 5am, I got home from work and went to my refrigerator and pulled out what I thought was wings. It turned out to be $1300.
The calls had been from a frantic Domino’s delivery man, who was on his way to the bank when he realised his mistake.
Vegas deliberated over what to do, but knew in his heart he needed to give it back – and Domino’s were so grateful, they rewarded him with a year’s worth of free pizza.
Seems like a more than fair trade-off.
