'America First' has become a giant meme, and Ireland just got in on it

Make Ireland great.

DONALD TRUMP’S campaign slogan of America First was the precursor to a whole load of parodies asking if other countries can be second.

The first video was made by Dutch comedy show, Zondag met Lubach, and pleaded for the Netherlands to be made ‘second’.

Country after country followed to make their case.

Digital agency Eightytwenty decided to make their own version, arguing that we Ireland should in fact, be his number two.

It features Oliver Callan, and it’s got it all.

We have huge respect for this guy, you’d like him. He wanted all the snakes in Ireland gone. Gone. He did it. He judges needed, he just did it. He banished all the snakes from the island, over.

They even go after Kellyanne

You have Kellyanne Conway, we have the Giant’s Causeway, Both stony-faced, both full of mythical and fantastical stories. Nobody knows how either of them got where they are.

And they conclude that Trump will love us because we “don’t want to hear about” taxes

Just try to give us your money, we won’t accept it. Just ask Apple.

Then there’s the Rose of Tralee…

We even have a competition called Rose of Tralee, when all the best sugar boobies in Ireland compete. Beautiful competition, beautiful.

We’re in for a chance
