The 'Christmas in August' wedding on Don't Tell The Bride has everyone talking today

People reckon it’s the best episode yet.

A NEW SERIES of Don’t Tell The Bride has kicked off. This week, Jennifer and Robbie regaled us with their tale of love.

Together seven years, they were initially considered to be a bit of an odd couple among their friends. But the pair defied the odds, and got engaged on Stephen’s Dad (with help from Robbie’s son Riley).

On planning the wedding, Robbie said:

I think I’ll be good at organising it [...] I’m very organised. I’d like to think I am.
I don’t think she’d mind if it didn’t go all her way, because getting married is all we want to do.”

To which her response was:

If it goes wrong, I’ll kill him.”

Fair, tbh.

To tie in with their engagement, and their tradition of visiting Riley at Christmas, Robbie wanted a Christmas themed wedding … In August.

When Robbie told his groomsmen about his desire for a “winter wonderland”, they told him he was “f*cking mad”.

His heart was in the right place, in fairness – as Jenny misses Christmas to visit Riley with Robbie, he wanted to give her a Christmas at home. And get married too.

It makes sense in the most mad way possible.”

Oblivious to the imminent sound of sleighbells, Jenny wanted a traditional “fairytale” wedding – at a castle, ideally.

Robbie had different ideas, mind.

The eternal question. Robbie almost held the ceremony in the middle of the road though, so … Could’ve been worse.

For the hen, Robbie decided to send the gals … To a garage.

Not sure how that ties in with Christmas, but whatever.

Robbie was extremely committed to the theme though, to the point where the bridesmaid wore Mrs Claus robes for bridesmaids dresses.

… And elf suits for the lads.

… And reindeer.

… And A SLEIGH PULLED BY THE REINDEER.

Jenny wanted a limo or “a nice fancy car”. Good compromise, Rob!

A gentle reminder that this wedding took place in AUGUST.
