Dracula producers ban fake tan in Irish casting call

They’re looking for olive-skinned people in Ireland – but fakes are not acceptable.

WANT TO APPEAR in a Dracula movie? Live in Ireland? Well, now’s your chance.

The producers of a new Universal Pictures version of Dracula have put out an urgent casting call seeking extras for the movie, which will be filmed in Northern Ireland this autumn.

They’re especially looking for people who “are olive/swarthy skinned”. But sorry, cast of Tallafornia – the call adds the following warning:

NO FAKE TANS PLEASE

So it’s no use running out and slapping on the St Tropez, folks. Apologies.

The extras will appear in the film as part of an “Ottoman Army”. The casting call is for people “from EVERY ETHNIC BACKGROUND”, but also expresses particular interest in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and African/Afro-Caribbean extras.

Starring in the movie will be Dominic Cooper (of Mamma Mia! fame), Luke Evans (of The Hobbit and Fast & Furious 6) and Sarah Gadon (who played Robert Pattinson’s wife in Cosmopolis), according to IFTN.
