THIS MORNING, THE Hollywood Reporter released this week’s cover story on Drake – detailing his “ambitious” push into film and TV.

Interviewing him in his Toronto apartment, the piece touches on everything from his Degrassi days, his current partnership with his manager Future and their recent foray into movie production.

About halfway through the interview, Future reveals that Drake could have worked with disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein in the past, but turned it down:

Weinstein chased Drake to star in and produce a film called The Heist, but Drake rebuffed the overtures long before the mogul faced dozens of sexual harassment and assault claims. “I vetted him with five people and got bad feedback about working with him,” Future says simply.

The vetting process that Drake’s team used has been winning praise on Twitter

While others see it as just further proof that the Weinstein scandal was known about by many, at least partially

Drake also sat down for a quickfire question and answer session – where he revealed his favourite TV show and the best SNL contributor

The only other major revelation in his interview is that he has a surprising love for Harry Potter – even chasing a first edition worth $160,000

The full interview on The Hollywood Reporter is well worth a read for Drake fans

And lovers of Harry Potter/Degrassi too.
