John Paul the rabbit needs a home after being abandoned near the Papal Cross

Ah here.

ANOTHER DAY, another horrible story of a pet left to fend for itself by an owner who doesn’t want it any more. It’d break your heart.

A rabbit was found abandoned in his hutch in a car park near the Papal Cross in Dublin’s Phoenix Park yesterday. Yep, the rabbit and his hutch:

The rabbit was picked up by the DSPCA, who named him John Paul. You know, after the Pope.

The DSPCA has launched an appeal to find poor JP a new family – and people are extremely moved by his plight:

I am a male rabbit, I am friendly and will soon be neutered. Clearly my owner doesn’t want me any more so I am looking for a new home.

Ah here. :(

If you think you can give John Paul the rabbit a good home, you can contact the DSPCA at adopt@dspca.ie. Do it for JP III!
