A definitive ranking of the best food you can get at Dublin Airport
ARRIVING TO THE airport hungry is one of life’s small tragedies – as you know once you step foot inside those automated doors the value and quality of food seems to automatically drop.
However, there are some spots in Dublin Airport that will see you through a tight spot of hunger while you’re waiting for that plane. Here they are, ranked from worst to best and where you can find them:
7. McDonald’s

The new 24 hours McDonald’s just outside the airport is your eternal friend, always there for you in times of need. Nothing fancy, of course, but if you’re stuck for some grub you could do much worse in terms of value and delicious comfort.
6. Burger King – The Loop, Terminal 1
Google Maps Google Maps
The second of the fast food joints to make the cut, a full meal in Burger King will undoubtedly fill you up. If you’re looking for something quick and big outside of a full restaurant setting, it’s definitely for you.
5. The Oak Bar - Terminal 2
Yelp Yelp
Decent quality food with comfortable seating is a rare enough beast around the airport. Their full Irish is much talked about for its portion size and quality, and for airport prices it’s decent enough. Widely considered as a safe pair of hands in the gloom of a long airport wait.
4. Upper Crust – Terminal 1 arrivals
Bud Bud
Sandwiches are a go-to airport snack for many of us who don’t want to shell out on a full meal at often extortionate prices. Upper Crust is one of the better sandwich places, and a toss up between here and O’Brien’s for your sandwich business is your best bet.
3. Gourmet Burger Kitchen – Terminal 2 arrivals
Google Google
You might know this joint from its city centre locations, and the quality is similar out at the airport. A step up from the fast food places anyway, and the burger quality is worth the visit alone.
2. Flutes - Terminal 2 departures
Yelp Yelp
The name of this wine bar will make every Irish person smirk, but it’s well known for its high quality food – especially by airport standards. Most people go for the cheeseboards or the seafood platter. In terms of price though, you’re looking at a heft chunk of change, but nothing eye-watering given you are in an airport.
1. Diep Noodle Bar – Terminal 2 arrivals
Google Google
This Thai place in Terminal 2 might just be the best food available to you if you’re looking for a full meal. Their stir fries, curries and noodle dishes are all pretty delish. Any tasty food in the airport is always to be welcomed, and at a half decent price as well.
