There were scenes at this Dublin bookshop for the midnight launch of the new Harry Potter

HARRY POTTER AND The Cursed Child is the two-part stage play by Jack Thorne based on the famous magical characters all grown up.

Last night, the script was released as a book around the world at midnight.

And Hodges and Figgis in Dublin celebrated with a special late night party

The queue stretched down Dawson street as people waited patiently for things to kick off at 10pm

And as it got closer to opening, the crowd only got bigger and bigger

JK Rowling has been praising the fans of the series for not sharing Cursed Child spoilers after seeing the stage version in London.

And then people finally got their hands on it

The wait was over.

It’s been nine years since the Deathly Hallows, and Harry Potter fans have finally got their hands on a new story.
