Did a furious pedestrian stare down a Dublin Bus for 20 minutes last night?

THIS PHOTO APPEARS to show a man blocking the path of a Dublin Bus on Westmoreland Street last night.
There have been suggestions that a standoff arose because the man knocked on the closing door of the bus, but the driver woudn’t let him on.
Sam Russell, who tweeted the pic just before 11pm, wrote:

The incident (or whatever it was) has been dubbed “Dublin’s Tiananmen Square” on Reddit.
There, user adomo claimed that the man stood in front of the bus for 20 minutes before being moved on by a female garda.
