WITH DONALD TRUMP fully confirmed as the Republican Presidential nominee and heading towards the election in November, it’s very likely we’re all going to be hearing even more about him.

So, a Dublin pub has got in first with the novelty cocktail.

Platform 61 on the capital’s South William Street has launched a brand new orange-tinted cocktail called The Donald

The cocktail – available on Thursday and Friday later this week to celebrate the bar’s birthday – has a mischievous main ingredient, as the bar told Dublin Live:

‘The Donald’ will have fine Mexican tequila at its heart, unlike many of his supporters. It will also feature the blood-orange flavoured liqueur, Cointreau, in homage to Mr. Trump’s fiery and hot-headed personality alongside a generous dash of Ginger Lime Syrup – a sweet façade masking a dangerous underbelly.

In the interest of political balance, there is a Hilary Clinton cocktail in the works as well.

But for now we can look forward to sampling the most sarcastic political cocktail 2016 has seen
