Ireland's X Factor auditions included a potato farmer and a Bono lookalike
THE X FACTOR hit Croke Park earlier in the year to audition some Irish talent, and the auditions finally aired last night.
In perhaps the most stereotyped glimpse into our talent pool, there was a potato farmer, a Bono lookalike, and a lot of fiddly background music.
People weren’t too excited
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
Peter Richards was the Bono lookalike, and he actually did look like him to be fair
He just didn’t sound like him, at all.
It’s a no from us.
Jordan Devine, a redheaded potato farmer from Strabane failed to impress the judges with his rendition of Robbie Williams’ Candy
He described Louis Walsh as a “talent magnet”, and we lost him there.
Check out those moves.
Simon there, ready to get on a plane and never return.
John Brennan sang Lady Gaga’s Applause, but no one was left applauding
His dance moves were just painful.
But all was saved with Niall Sexton and his lovely voice
He sang Sara Bareilles’ Gravity and we swooned.
What’s with Irish guys named Niall and the X Factor?
You might remember Janet Grogan from Dublin who got painfully close to getting through the judges houses in 2014
She came back to save us from a pretty bad Dublin audition. Rejoice, we have some people to get behind as the competition goes on.
