Dublin Zoo welcomes two-year-old, rare tiger

Ussuri is settling in well and has already established his dominance among the females in the habitat. Get in!

DUBLIN ZOO’S LATEST addition to the cat family is a two-year-old male Amur tiger called Ussuri.

Also known as Siberian tigers, they are the world’s largest cats and it’s estimated that there are less than 400 living in the wild.

Ussuri weighs an impressive 250 kilos, to put his impressive size into context, his paws are about one and half times larger than that of an adult male. And you know what they say about big paws?!
