Dublin's Forbidden Fruit festival announces 2012 line-up

Manchester icons New Order will headline the June event alongside Leftfield, Wilco and James Vincent McMorrow.

MANCHESTER INDIE ICONS New Order are set to headline Dublin’s Forbidden Fruit music festival alongside dance act Leftfield and alt-country veterans Wilco.

The festival today announced the line-up for its second year in the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham, Dublin 8.

International names on offer at the event held on the June bank holiday weekend also include Beirut, Andrew Bird, Mazzy Star  and Death Cab for Cutie.

Irish acts include James Vincent McMorrow, Toby Kaar and Rarely Seen Above Ground.

The festival ran over two days in 2011 but has now been extended to three, with five stages in total. A new comedy stage has been added for 2012, although the line-up is yet to be confirmed.

Here’s the full line-up by day:

Saturday June 2: Leftfield, Bloody Beetroots DJ Set, Booka Shade, The Field, Factory Floor, Bear In Heaven, Le Galaxie, Toby Kaar

Sunday June 3: New Order, Death Cab For Cutie, The Rapture, Death in Vegas, Modeselektor, Atlas Sound, Austra, Grimes, Rarely Seen Above Ground, Kool Thing

Monday June 4: Wilco, James Vincent Mc Morrow, Beirut, Mazzy Star, Andrew Bird, Field Music, Julia Holter, Windings

Tickets for the festival will be €49.50 for a day, €89.50 for two days and €115 for the weekend. Early bird tickets will be going on sale tomorrow at slightly reduced prices.
