BACK IN 1994, the wonder that was Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne were unleashed upon the world.
Starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, Dumb and Dumber became an instant hit, and remains one of the greatest comedies of the 90s.
In fact, you’re an outright liar if you say you don’t still quote random lines from this movie.
Anyway, while we knew there was incredible chemistry on-set between the two actors, we didn’t realise how deep the bond ran until Jim Carrey crashed Jeff Daniels appearance on Conan O’Brien’s chatshow.
Prior to Jim’s surprise, Jeff reflected on the movie, telling Conan he didn’t anticipate the film’s success.
I was making a comedy with Jim Carrey, that’s what I knew. Comedic genius. We knew 14-year-old boys would love it, but I wasn’t prepared for the guys in their tuxedo and the Martini and the portfolio coming up and going ‘Dumb and Dumber might be the best movie I know of.’
And then Jim appeared, and what follows is too pure for this world.
Together, they reflected on the film’s success, the sequel’s poor reception, and Jeff’s decision not to contact Jim despite the fact he was in town.
Take a look at this…
