YES, YOU READ that right. Nine hundred euro. For a coat. In Dunnes.
First they brought us the €60 plank of wood, and we thought “they’re only doing it for attention”.
Then they brought us the €300 handbag and the spiralised veg, and we thought “they’re turning themselves into Marks and Spencer. They are. Look at their extensive scented candle range. Hark, is that a €90 duvet cover?”.
Now though. Now they’re just doing it for the DailyEdge headline. We’re convinced of it.
The blush pink reversible shearling coat is part of the Joanne Hynes x Dunnes Stores range and is surely the most expensive piece of clothing ever carried by the retailer, so long beloved for sensible school shoes, reasonable chinos and a grand hat/glove/scarf combo.
Strong, striking and super-silky to touch, this limited edition coat is a killer addition to your closet.
AND YOUR WALLET, WHAT?
Even the model know what’s up.
All joking aside, exciting work from Irish designers is, of course, a good thing. The Hynes collection for Dunnes features a wide range of pieces, many of which are infinitely more affordable.
But we will NEVER get over the €900 coat. Never.
Oh, hang on, what’s that?…
OH YOU’RE VERY GOOD, DUNNES.
