WEST CORK SECRET is an activity centre and obstacle course in Kilbrittain, West Cork.

Their real claim to fame locally is their giant water/mud slide in the summer months.

So the Travel Channel in the US just had to come and check it out for themselves

One of the channel’s new shows is called Xtreme Waterslides, so hitting West Cork Secret was a match made in heaven.

According to their Facebook page, the segment aired in the “past few days” and the crew were over filming in the summer.

They fell in love with the big, dirty slide immediately

And the owner was on hand to tell the crew all about the slide’s charms:

“If you’re not willing to get down and dirty, you’re coming to the wrong place”

And they got a few UCC students in to demonstrate the slide in all its glory

There’s a nice pool of mud water waiting for you at the bottom

The slide is 230ft long, and needs 50 gallons of water a minute to keep people flying down it.

It looks like serious craic

The five-minute-long segment has given West Cork Secret a big shout out in the States, as well as alerting more people to it here in Ireland.

Prepare yourself for summer.
